For the first time since I started blogging I have failed to write my monthly blog post….that month being September . Sometimes life gets in the way and its not always smiley and full of glossy photographs. Life is real, and with it , has its share of woes and rarely does anyone escape it. September was my turn as a close family member of mine who has been diagnosed with an incurable disease has become steadily worse and this will probably be her last Christmas. So thats my excuse and I dare say it probably won’t be the last time I miss writing a monthly post.
Now back to the frivilious business of blogging. Ha ha!
So we can finally say goodbye and adieu! to the warmish!!! and light filled days of summer……….
Its with a misty eye and a downcast heart that I pack away my summer frills……however, there’s always Autumn….. Summer days will quickly fade as leafy dewy scents replace the glowing rays . As darkness quickly invades our jaded selves the thoughts of sweet potato stews and open fires replace any lament of summer heat.
Its with great comfort and a happiness that sneaks upon us that Autumn finally brings and with it that magical word……..FALL 2016!!!!!!!!!!!
YES PEOPLE……AUTUMN/WINTER FASHION…….. MY absolute favourite fashion season, beats the dark evenings and coldish chills and makes it all worthwhile , essential even..
This year the fashion colour palette is an all consuming one with many colours textures and fabrics. My favourite however is the vintage tweed look that has invaded the high street mainly in the form of the Coat. There are great ones to be had that I’ve seen in Penneys and Zara.
The Velvet trend for A/W 2016 is another favourite of mine. This is everywhere this season from great coats to cute velvet ankle boots in Penneys/Primark. I will be dedicating a post to this wonderful fabric closer to Christmas. I happen to have a few vintage gems in my wardrobe that I’d love to share with you all. Let me know in the comments which A/W trend is your favourite this Winter I’d love to hear from you all.
The weather here in Ireland is still warmish during the day and its a little tricky to wear suitable clothing that isn’t either too warm or not warm enough. Violinkit likes to layer up on Summer staples like a warm cardigan over a vintage tea dress. Alternatively my great love of the Biker Jacket (which is still on trend in lots of colours for A/W16 eg. Zara) slung over a cute dress and paired with black tights and cute head gear makes for a great Autumnal look. Adding a jacket ,tights and scarf to that cute Summer outfit brings it right into Autumn. So folks, root through your wardrobe and dig out those tights and hat and get a little more wear from that cute Summer dress that your not quite ready to say Goodbye to yet.

Until next time enjoy the season and don’t forget there’s still some wear left in that favourite Summer outfit. Let me know what your favourite trans-seasonal outfits are. I’m posting some pics of mine. LOTS OF LOVE XXX VIOLINKIT.

Sorry to hear about your friends illness. This is weird but I have also felt like I missed September! I have been dropping balls left right and centre and wandering around saying but what happened to September, didn’t I do this? Love your funky autumn outfits, by the way.

Also very sorry for you friend who is sick. Sending hugs to all. I also found September to be rather hectic and gone in blink of an eye. Kid back to school and all that comes with it.
I love Autumn and thankfully say good bye to the wonderful summer we had but boy was it a hot and I am now looking forward to jumpers, hats, scarfs, woolly socks and hot chocolate.
Give your blogs coming they are so enjoyable.

I love your colourful style! I wish I could continue wearing bright colours all the year around but somehow I just go to black and grey as soon as the weather changes.

I’m sorry to hear about your friend but am glad to read that it seems like you’re dealing with it okay.
Autumn is one of my favourite seasons as well mainly because of layering! I tend to stick with much more subdued and neutral colors. I know, boring right haha.

Im so sorry to hear about your family member. My prayers are with you and her. Coming back to blogging, there have been many occasions when I have not written a single post for more than two months. Call it a writers block or laziness or tied up with family work; it does seem that an important part of me has not expressed itself when I dont write blog posts. But then I come back again with a BANG! 😛
