So its that strange time midway between Autumn and Christmas …..

Don’t know about you but I find these few weeks can be a waiting game before the countdown to the festive season. The weather can be a mix up jumble of mild almost  late Summery days to freezing ‘brass monkeys’ winter weather. Its hard sometimes to know what to feel let alone what to wear. So whats a girl to do hmmmmmm………..Oh such First world problems……..Ha Ha!

Matt lipstick in 06 red from Essence.

YES, folks its the perfect feel good make up item guaranteed to perk up even the gloomiest face on the gloomiest day. I’m loving all the perfect matte colours available this AW16. L’oreal, Rimmel , Lancome most brands are doing them . These colours glide on the lips and being matte tend to stay there. Most of these matte shades are also available in liquid form and also in matte finish. These are super as the matte liquid dries on the lips and does not budge for the rest of the day.

I was shopping recently and came across some examples of matte lippie both in lipstick form and liquid form. These came from the bargain brand make up range Essence and PS range which is sold in Penneys/Primark and lots of Pharmacies all over the country. Needless to say, I couldn’t resist and bought myself four lipsticks and three matte liquid lip stains. The lot came in at under twenty euro. At 2.50 euro for the matte liquid from PS range  and 2.90 euro for the lipsticks from Essence these are incredible value.

Whats not to like……….These brands have become hugely successful not alone for the amazing good value price points but equally for the fabulous quality. Here is the lipstick haul that I purchased from the Mary St Penneys/Primark in Ireland just a few days ago.The shades I chose were Matt lipstick in 03 and 02 (these are both very natural flattering shades ) and matt 06 (sumptious red colour)  and 04 (warm dark pink) . The liquid matte lipsticks from the PS range were no 03 (kylie),  no 02 (khloe)  and no 04 (Blush) .  I hope you enjoy the photos and the unbelievable prices.

Lipstick is so versatile and nothing beats a great red lippie in Winter and especially at Christmas.

The Autumn toned ones are equally flattering and great with pale skin tones. The dark toned matte lipsticks give off a mysterious vibe perfect for that Winter glamour look. These tones are especially good for making teeth look extra white too especially the chocolate toned colours.
